PHILIPPINE UNITED TAKE ANOTHER SCALP IN GREAT CUP VICTORY

Posted on October 25, 2009 | Categories : Archives | 0 Comment

Yes, Philippine United got back to winning ways again with a fine 2-5 away win against Broxbourne FC.

United playing with the old magic back running through the team and despite numerous injuries in the game United still kept playing good football. The scoring started with Raymond Tordecilla and another 25 yard cracker from Eddie Guevarra taking PUFC in at half time with a comfortable lead.

After the break further goals coming from Jason Arroyo, Anielo Mone, and another from Raymond Tordecilla, making it a fine day for United, with us now being unbeaten in 9 games in all competitions. May I say that to start a team with 60 trialists in a few short weeks and narrow them down to 24 and then start with a record of 8 wins and 1 draw and 0 losses is outstanding to say the least and the credit goes to everyone concerned with PHILIPPINE UNITED.

I will just finish off by saying what a good job Keith Townsend did again standing in for me as Team Manager. Our Founder Leo Jensen thinks he handled the game very well and shuffled the team round well when the injuries took place. WELL DONE KEITH AGAIN!!!

Leo told me they all played well throughout the team but one player stood out from the rest and as usual it was Raymond Tordecilla who got the Man of the Match.

Take care PUFC fans. No game next week, but I will still be writing my column with PUFC interest at heart.

Keep the faith,
Norm Parkin
