Saturday, May 22nd we finished our season with only our second loss in the league this season. This time to Hemel Hempstead 2-4 . We beat them 7-0 earlier this season at our home ground, but in this last game they fielded most of their Premier League players; not quite fair in Division Two, but it was a great challenge for us. PHILIPPINE UTD CONTINUE WINNING STREAK WITH 0-4 AWAY WIN AT HARPENDEN
With two games left to play, Philippine United have already gained promotion to Division 1, and this weeks game was against the gritty Harpenden Rovers, who incidentally are the oldest team in all of the West Hertfordshire league, as they were formed almost one hundred years ago, and a fine bunch of guys they are too. PHILIPPINE UNITED PROMOTED TO DIVISION ONE IN THEIR FIRST SEASON
With two games still to play, Philippine United have gained promotion to Division One of the West Hertfordshire league, in their first season playing in it, which is a wonderful achievement to say the least. PUFC PROMOTE TO DIVISION ONE AS MATCH IS CALLED OFF
This Saturday's match has been called off as Portland Arms was not able to get a full team out, so the Herts FA has fined them and deducted 3 points and given PUFC the victory. Not the way we wanted to win it and celebrate but that's the rules in football. But our last 2 games against Harpenden and Hemel Hempstead will go on as planned so let's go out and win it with style ...
